The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets men’s basketball team will open their ACC schedule later today at 2pm Eastern, as they travel to Chapel Hill, North Carolina to take on the No. 20 ranked North Carolina Tar Heels.

Both teams enter the game 4-4, as the Yellow Jackets lost their last outing to the No.21 ranked Oklahoma Sooners, while the Tar Heels look to rebound after a crushing 94-79 defeat at the hands of the No. 10 ranked Alabama Crimson Tide.

The game will be a pivotal one for the Yellow Jackets, as the team has been searching for a player on the team that can be the primary scorer on the offensive end. Five different players have led the Yellow Jackets in scoring this season.

Yellow Jackets head coach will have to start at least competing in these games for him to show that he is the right guy at the helm for the team, as they’ve lost to every formidable opponent they’ve faced, and lost a bad game against North Florida earlier in the season.

The matchup to watch in the game will be if the Yellow Jackets can slow down senior guard RJ Davis and the rest of the Tar Heels offense, as they currently lead the ACC in scoring, 88.4 points per game this season.

Yellow Jackets guard Lance Terry, who leads the team in scoring, will have his biggest task of the season so far, as he will be tasked as the on to stop Davis and lead the Yellow Jackets offensively.
