Coming into the season, both the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets and Clemson Tigers had high hopes, with the Tigers being ranked No.15 to begin the season, and the Yellow Jackets being unranked. However, the Yellow Jackets are off to a historic 20-4 start and now find themselves as one of the top teams in the ACC conference, while the Tigers have climbed all the way up to No.6 in the latest poll.

Both teams boast the two best outfielders in the entire ACC, as Clemson has Cam Cannarella, who was a preseason First Team All-American and is currently hitting .330 and already has five doubles. On the other side of the diamond is Yellow Jackets outfielder Drew Burress, who was a First Team All-ACC selection, and currently has a .337 batting average to go along with 13 doubles and eight home runs.

For the Yellow Jackets, it is the classic case of them proving that they belong where they are, as this will be the biggest series of the season to date, and could potentially be the biggest series of the season for the Yellow Jackets.

Both teams are looking to solidify themselves as top teams in the ACC this season, and what better way that to face each other to find out who can be an early favorite in the conference moving forward.

The two teams are set for a three game series this weekend, as Fridays game will start at 6pm, Saturday start time is 4pm, and Sunday start time is at 1pm. All game times are Eastern.
