The 8-10 Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets are all set to take on the Florida State Seminoles in a matchup of teams that will be between teams that are competing to keep their seasons alive, as both teams try to make a push in conference play to make their case for the NCAA Tournament.
The Yellow Jackets have lost three straight games, while the Seminoles come into the game won their last outing against the Pittsburgh Panthers 82-70. In the game, the Seminoles forced 17 turnovers and only scored ten points off those turnovers.
Yellow Jackets guard Lance Terry missed the team's last game against the Clemson Tigers, a theme that has become common to the team this season. Yellow Jackets forward Baye Ndongo and guard Naithan George are the only two players on the team that have played in every game this season. In case Terry isn't able to play in the game today, the Yellow Jackets could just play a big lineup like they did against the Tigers, starting three forwards, a shooter in Javian McCollum, and orchestrate the offense through George, who would need to play nearly the entire game.
The Seminoles key to victory lies in just controlling the paint and feeding the ball to junior forward Malik Ewing, who has put up a double-double in each of the last three games, and keep the ball in playmaker Jamir Watkins hands, as he is averaging 18.3 points per game this season and has scored at least ten points in all but one game this season.
The game is set to tip off at 12pm Easter time.
