The No.20 ranked Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets will host the Florida State Seminoles today, in a battle of teams with high aspirations for the season with the regular season winding down.
It will be a battle of one team, the Yellow Jackets, that is looking to remain ranked after losing to the No.10 ranked NC State Wolfpack 83-68 on Thursday night, and another team, the Seminoles, that is looking to move back into the AP Top 25 after dropping out last week.
The Seminoles come into the game winners of their last two games, while the Yellow Jackets have lost two of their last three.
A key matchup to watch is how the Yellow Jackets defense will slow down Seminoles guard Ta'Niya Lastson, who leads the country in points per game this season with 26.2.
The Yellow Jackets come into the contest trying to find their groove after somewhat of a slump by both the team and freshman Dani Carnegie, who found her footing against the Wolfpack, scoring 16 points, but has been underwhelming since returning from her leg injury last month.
Both teams come into the contest with top offenses in the ACC, with the Seminoles leading the conference in points per game with 89.8 and the Yellow Jackets sitting at third in points per game with 77.8. The offensive fireworks will for sure be on display when the two teams take the court at McCamish Pavilion today.
Tip off for the game is scheduled to be at pm Eastern time today.
