The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets have now reached their conference schedule with their matchup today against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. According to ESPN Analytics, the Yellow Jackets have a 51.8% chance of winning the game and are favored by 1.5 points.
After a rough no conference start to the season, the Yellow Jackets currently sit at 6-7 and looking to be back at the .500 mark for the first time since Nov. 30. The Irish on the other hand come into the contest 7-5, having won each of their last three contests, including their conference opener against Syracuse. The Yelling w Jackets are seeking their first ACC win of the season, losing both of their conference games they've played this season, Duke and North Carolina.
The question remains if the Yellow Jackets will keep Lance Terry in the starting lineup, who has started the last eight games in place of guard Javian McCollum, who suffered a concussion in the team's loss to the Cincinnati Bearcats, or bring back McCollum, who has come off the bench the last four games. In McCollum's absence, Terry has made the most of the opportunity, scoring in double figures in seven of the eight games that he has started, and leads the team with 15.8 points per game.
The Fighting Irish on the other hand are trying to overcome an injury of their own, as sophomore guard Markus Burton, who leads the team with 18.2 points per game, 4.3 assists per game, and 1.3 steals per game, is still dealing with a knee injury that has had him sidelined for over a month now. The Irish have used multiple rotations of guards in his absence, but guard Braden Shrewsberry has stepped up and led the team in Burton's absence.
The game is set to tip off at 2:30 pm Eastern time.
