In what will be a matchup between teams battling for spots in the ACC tournament, the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets will host the Stanford Cardinal, in what should be a closer game than people may think. The Yellow Jackets have beaten two ranked teams in their last three games, including an 89-86 triple overtime thriller against the Clemson Tigers, who beat the then-No.2 ranked Duke Blue Devils on Feb. 8.

Coming into the game, the Yellow Jackets sit at 11-13, losing their last game against the Virginia Cavaliers, while the Cardinal have a record of 16-8, coming off of a thrilling 74-73 win against the Louisville Cardinals.

The Yellow Jackets have seen sophomore guard Naithan George lead the offense over the last three games, averaging 20.6 points and seven assists per game. The play of George comes at a crucial time for the team, as they look to stay above the cut off line for the ACC tournament, where they currently sit in 13th place in the conference, with only 15 teams making the conference tournament. A win for the Yellow Jackets would mean that they are that much closer to securing a spot in the tournament.

If the Yellow Jackets stand a chance in the game, they will need to slow down Cardinal superstar Maxime Raynaud, who leads the ACC in points per game with 20.4, while also leading the conference in rebounds per game with 11.7.

The contest is set to tip off tonight at 7pm Eastern time.
