Heading into their weekend series against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets were looking for their first three-game sweep of on ACC opponent this season, and they did just that.

The story for all three games seemed to be the same: the bats were hot for the Yellow Jackets as they would score 18 runs in the series opener, nine runs in game two, and ten runs today. Perhaps the hottest bat in the lineup was that of junior Kyle Lodise, who tallied four home runs over the weekend, with three of them coming in the series-opening win for the Yellow Jackets, and one coming in Saturday's game.

Third baseman Carson Kerce would also get in on the action in the lineup, as he would get seven hits throughout the weekend, while also driving in five runs for the Yellow Jackets.

On the mound, the Yellow Jackets would see the bullpen pitch a mojority of the innings, as starts Tate McKee, Brady Jacobs, and Riley Stanford would all combine for ten innings pitched over the weekend, while Mason Patel had another stellar outing on Saturday, as he would pitch 6.2 innings and allow just one earned run on four hits. Patel would move his record to 7-0 this season with the credited win Saturday.

In total, the Yellow Jackets would outscore the Fighting Irish 37-14 over the three-game series.

The Yellow Jackets will be back in action on Tuesday, as they will travel to take on the Kennesaw State Owls at 6pm Eastern time.
