After going down with a hamstring injury in the team's double overtime loss to Virginia Tech on Jan. 9, Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets guard Dani Carnegie missed the Yellow Jackets highly- anticipated matchup with the No.3 Notre Dame Fighting Irish.

This marks the second game in a row that Carnegie has missed due to the injury, with the Yellow Jackets going 0-2 in those games and losing by and average of 12 points. The Yellow Jackets were 15-0 when Carnegie left the game with her injury. While the Fighting Irish loss could have been expected by some fans, the loss to the Louisville Cardinals is one that left fans shocked, even with the absence of Carnegie.

With Carnegie gone, the Yellow Jackets are averaging 63 points per game and the offense is looking lackluster, with three Yellow Jackets scoring in double figures, Kara Dunn, Tonie Morgan, and Chazadi Wright, granted the trio has scored in double figures in both contests.

Dunn has stepped up as the leader of the team over the past two games, combining for 31 points and becoming the team's leader in points per game this season with 16.3 points per game, while Morgan has played the role of facilitator the past two games, averaging 4.5 assists per game.

The Yellow Jackets still sit at 15-3 this season, with plenty of time to bounce back from the injury, but the assumption is that the Yellow Jackets should want Carnegie to return as soon as possible, because the team has shown struggles with her absence.
