The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets will Charlottesville, Virginia to take on the Virginia Cavaliers in a contest between teams that are going in different directions this season. While the Yellow Jackets are sitting at 16-3, vying for a top seed in the women's NCAA Tournament in March, while the Cavaliers come into the game 11-8 this season, trying to find wins where they can to make the tournament.

The biggest storyline for the Yellow Jackets heading into the game is the injury status of freshman standout Dani Carnegie, who has made a name for herself in the ACC this season, winning four straight ACC Freshman of the Week awards before her hamstring injury suffered on Jan. 9 in the team's double overtime loss to the Virginia Tech Hokies. Carnegie is listed as day-to-day.

In Carnegie's absence, Yellow Jackets forward Kara Dunn has been a cornerstone for the offense, leading the team in scoring for the past three games, scoring an average of 19.6 points per game those three games.

The Yellow Jackets have used ball movement as an effective strategy to their explosive start to the season, as they are second the ACC in assists per game with 18.7 this season.

The Cavaliers are lead by senior forward Latosha Lattimore, who is almost averaging a double double every time she takes the court, averaging 13.4 points per game and 9.2 rebounds per game. Cavaliers guard Kymora Johnson leads the team with 18.1 ponts per game, but also serves as the primary ball handler for the Cavaliers, leading the team with 4.9 assists per game.

The game is set to start at 7pm tonight.
