Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets standout freshman guard Dani Carnegie missed the last three games for the team before making her triumphant return in the Yellow Jackets 75-62 win over the Virginia Cavaliers on Thursday night, but there was someone that also had a great game against the Tigers: Tonie Morgan.

In Carnegie's absence, many fans thought that the team would take a massive step back, and if you look at the win-loss column for those games, you'd be right, but Morgan put up a group of games that were nothing short of spectacular.

Against Louisville, Morgan put up 13 points and six assists in a 69-60 losing effort, then against the No.3 ranked Notre Dame Fighting Irish, Morgan put up 17 points, four rebounds, three assists, and was a major contributor on the defensive end, coming away with three steals.

However, over the last two games, the junior guard has put together two of the best game stat lines in her career, putting up the first triple double in 23 years for the Yellow Jackets in the team's 89-65 win over ACC rival Clemson, and followed it up with a double double in Carnegie's return against the Virginia Cavaliers on Thursday night.

While Morgan's performance was somewhat overshadowed by Carnegie in her return, as she put up a career-high 29 points and added nine rebounds, it does not go unnoticed as she is one of the biggest contributors on the team, and was a bright spot in the team's three games without Carnegie.
