Last night, the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets hosted the Stanford Cardinal, and while the Yellow Jackets did pick up the win, it can not be overlooked that the team did put out an odd lineup, to say the least, for the contest.

The starting five for the team featured Naithan George, Duncan Powell, Ibrihim Souare, Baye Ndongo, and Darrion Sutton. The thing that made the lineup so odd was the fact that George was the only guard in the starting lineup. The only other guard to play in the game was Jaeden Mustaf, who was in the game for 21 minutes. However, the lineup seemed to work in the Yellow Jackets favor, as they would cruise to a 60-52 win over the Cardinal.

The lineup oddity is nothing new to the Yellow Jackets, as they team has been plagued with injuries this season. In fact, Ndongo and George are the only two payers that have seen game time in all 25 of the team's games this season.

The chaotic nature of injuries for the team has given players an opportunity that they would not normally have for the team, such as Powell, who has scored in double digits for the last seven games, including two 20-plus point outings in that stretch.

However, despite all of the injuries that have happened to the team this season, the Yellow Jackets are still in the thick of the ACC race, as they only have six games left on the schedule and currently sit in tenth place in the conference standings.

The Yellow Jackets will be back in action Saturday when the host the California Bears at 4pm Eastern.
