With the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets having their spring game today, there will be a lot of things to look out for on both sides of the ball, despite the team returning a lot of production from last season. One of those things will be how the incoming transfers do on their new team and where they fit in the Yellow Jackets offense and defense. Lets take a look at three of those players.
Manley was one of the biggest pickups in the offseason for the Yellow Jackets, as he finished with 9.5 sacks last season with the Mercer Bears, which is over half of the number of sacks that the Yellow Jackets had as a team last season. Manley will be the starter when the season begins, it is just a matter of how good he looks when fans get their first look at him today.
2. Eric Rivers
Rivers was probably the pickup that I was the most excited about, and it got even more important bringing him in after the departure of Eric Singleton Jr. He has proved to be a productive receiver in his time at Florida International and depending on how he plays in the spring game today, could get reps as the No.1 receiver on the depth chart this season.
3. Kelvin Hill
In his lone season with the UAB Blazers, Hill proved that he can be productive, leading his entire position group with 41 tackles last season and played in all 12 games for the team. The secondary for the Yellow Jackets will need a lot of help, and Hill could be an impact player from day one.
