There has been plenty to cheer for for the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets over the past month, and while all can't fit in the list, here is the top five.
5. Yellow Jackets women’s basketball starts season 15-0 after 85-68 win against Syracuse
It was a program-changing start to the season for the Yellow Jackets, as they started 15-0, and this was the last of their wins to begin the season. Dani Carnegie would score a the-season-high in points with 28, while Zorah’s Smith would get a double double, scoring 16 points and grabbing 12 rebounds.
4. Yellow Jackets basketball gets largest ACC win of the season against Boston College
The Yellow Jackets started 2025 off with a bang, as the team beat Boston College 85-64 for their largest ACC win this season. Javian McCollum and Lance Terry would lead the way for the Yellow Jackets, scoring 20 points a piece, while Naithan George recorded a double double with ten points and ten assists.
3. Yellow Jackets basketball ends four-game losing streak in 71-64 win over Virginia Tech
After losing four straight in ACC play, the Yellow Jackets looked like they had given up on the season, but then they picked up a huge win against Virginia Tech. The game looked to be one where the Yellow Jackets could build momentum at the time.
2. Dani Carnegie returns to score season-high 29 points in Yellow Jackets 75-62 win over Virginia
After missing three games and the second half of their game against Virginia Tech, Yellow Jackets guard Dani Carnegie would make her triumphant return to the team against the Virginia Cavaliers, where she scored a new season-high 29 points, making five three-pointers in the Yellow Jackets win.
1. Tonie Morgan puts up first Yellow Jacket women’s triple double in 23 years
With guard Dani Carnegie out, Tonie Morgan made it her mission to put the team on her back and push through an 89-65 win against the Clemson Tigers, but she statistically had one of the best games for a women’s basketball player in this century, as she compiled 12 points, 12 rebounds, and 14 assists, marking the first women’s triple double in the program in 23 years.
