With the 2025 recruiting class over, ESPN has put out their recruiting rankings, and a team that may have surprised some people with how high they were ranked is the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, who came in at number 19.

The class is highlighted by five-star offensive lineman Josh Petty, who is the second five-star recruit to sign with the Yellow Jackets in the history of the program, with the other being Calvin Johnson in the 2004 recruiting cycle.

Five four-star recruits will make their way to The Flats next season, as cornerback Tae Harris, defensive lineman Christian Garrett, running back JP Powell, cornerback Dalen Penson, and offensive lineman Peyton Joseph.

Perhaps the biggest takeaway from the class is that the Yellow Jackets did not have to venture far out of the state of Georgia for recruits, as 16 of the 25 recruits that the team signed are from the state of Georgia, including every four-star and five-star recruit from the class.

The recruiting class is the second one under current head coach Brent Key, who it seemed used the class as an opportunity to fill out some dire needs, like maintaining the offensive line and getting a few more players for the defensive line.

What Key was not able to find in the class, he found in the transfer portal, bringing in names like EDGE Brayden Manley, EDGE A.J. Hoffler, and linebacker Melvin Jordan IV.

The recruiting class brings hope that Key and the program will continue to ascend in a positive direction.
